Enough is Enough!

First of all, Thank You to Alex Jeffreys for starting this Mentoring Course. Beforehand, I hadn’t heard of him, but I clicked through David Guindon’s promo Email, and after reviewing Alex’s info I felt he was for real, and sincere, so I signed up immediately. Price was right too!

Module 1 was very important because getting the Basics right is the foundation of everything we do in life. I stepped back and realized my “focus” was almost nonexistent. I would start a task, but run off to other things, and sometimes not complete the task I needed to do. This was quite the wake up call, and old habits die hard, but I am progressing with the Planning, Block Session work periods to focus on completing one task at a time based on Priority, etc. I will be revisiting these lessons often.

Module 2 was the mechanics of getting the product up and running, and a pile of Homework to go with it. By now I was already worried about being behind, especially when I looked around and saw so many people light years ahead with incredible Blogs already set up and busy. I still kept my focus though, following through the setup videos and felt quite proud to have the Squeeze Page set up and tested the evening before Module 3 was to begin. Module 3 was rescheduled to give us students more time to finish our homework so I spent that time digging around and tinkering with WordPress Blogging.

Module 3 came along with the realization of the Power of the community we are all becoming a part of. I fell back on old habits again, spinning my heels just tinkering and being indecisive about my Blog platform even though I have had the domain set up for a couple weeks now. In fact, I have reloaded Blogs on my domain four times trying to find the perfect one that I can customize.

Enough is enough! I am going with what I have now, no more wasting time.
I have been in fear of the “creative writing” part of the game, but no more!
As I sit here listening to the Brainstorming session I am “Taking Action” to write this, my First Blog Post ever and I am resigned to tweaking this Blog just a bit at a time.

It is time to join with my fellow Students in the Alex Jeffreys Blog Community so that we can move forward together.
Now more than ever, there is strength in numbers!

Hey Cool!

Fixed my first bump in the road.
My comment link wasn’t working, but after tinkering for a while, I went into premalinks, changed to default setting, and up she came!

Hello Clayton,

Glad to see I wasn’t the only one strugling in the beginning.:) I have read your blog and it looks like you are on the right track. Some times you just have to give yourself a good push to get those creative juices flowing. I’m using Ezine articles to try and generate traffic to my blog and cregslist. I’m going to try and create some videos as well. I will keep you posted in how well they are doing. Great job and talk to you soon.
